Attached please find a copy of a Bill passed by the City of Philadelphia that will impose a 1% Construction Tax on all residential construction permits starting January 01, 2022. This fee will apply to apartments and condos as well as single family dwellings. Although the fee applies to building permits, you should consider including wording in your proposals moving forward to exclude this specific fee so there is no attempt made to pass this cost on to you.
